Jennifer Delano – Amsterdam (Looking for a Spot) (RipTide Remix) – Amsterdam has been around in various remixes and re-rubs and incarnations over the past couple of years. I’ve pushed them around on playlists, but I don’t recall ever actually playing it. If that’s the case, it’s long overdue. Riptide’s remix is as freaky as remixes get. Heavily distorted vocals, a super thick bassline, a pleasing build-up… It’s among the tightest remixes I’ve heard. The cherry on top is that the music video is nothing short of perfection: a bride wakes up in Amsterdam, rides around on a bicycle and encounters the grim reaper among a crowd of unsuspecting people.
